I read Death Note in practically two seatings, and just when I finished, drawing the sketch for this was the first thing I did.
I hated Raito through all the goddamn thing. Hate hate hate, so the fact that L was seriously awesome wasn't the only thing that kept me rooting for him. And then he died.
Then Near and Mello come up and...I think 'they're awesome too! specially Mello ...theeen he died :B So Near was left; my only hope that Raito would finally just shut up was the little albino boy. And he did it, delivering a kick-ass speech while at it.
So I did this. Yeah, there are more things I like about these three characters, but I'm not going to get into that.
I'll just add that yes, L's shadow is kind of sloppy, buuuut it's late and I'm sleepy and I only colored this quickly to let off some steam from the bimestral exams that I'm going through at school so I don't care. I've decided that as a rule, I'm ot going to put too much effort into fanart, unlike original work.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
